Bloodborne in Minecraft? I'm in

A new Bloodborne experience has just landed in the last place we’d expect.

Before you get your hopes up, no. Bloodborne is not being remade, remastered, or rebooted.

What you can now do though is play through a version of the game within Minecraft thanks to the new Year of Blood: Conquest Edition project.

Created by the LGSC Team, Year of Blood: Conquest Edition is a total overhaul of the classic Year of Blood map inspired by FromSoftware’s beloved Bloodborne.

Year of Blood: Conquest Edition is a complete, realistic themed, texture, sound and content overhaul for Classic Year of Blood,” begins the description.

“Hunt your nightmares as you search for answers in the ancient city of Pilnam, now cursed with a strange endemic illness spreading through the streets like wildfire. Danger, death and madness lurk around every corner of this dark and horrific world, and you must discover its darkest secrets in order to survive.”

That’s captured my attention.

FromSoftware fans will soon be able to dive into Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.

Journeying through this gothic city is no easy task, but you will be equipped with a unique arsenal of weapons, from guns to magic staves.

Bloodborne is known for its extensive lore and Year of Blood is no different with “agile and intelligent enemies” guarding the city of Pilnam’s secrets.

Of course, there are boss battles alongside a realistic resource pack and effects.

The map supports between one and four players with a total playtime of around six to 10 hours, so it’ll certainly keep you busy for a weekend.

Despite only just going live, this mod has already been downloaded thousands of times from MinecraftMaps.

It goes without saying that you’ll need to play on PC to partake in this particular activity.

If you don’t tick that box, don’t worry. A stunning new official Bloodborne compendium is on the way that’s available to all.
