Palworld players will reportedly be receiving a free update later this year, adding a heavily-requested game mode.
Over the past few weeks most of the hype surrounding the Pokemon-esque game Palworld has died down, resulting in a loss of the majority of its playerbase.

That being said the game still has its fans, and the developer Pocket Pair isn’t giving up on the game anytime soon.

In fact, the developer recently announced the next big update for the game, and while we would have loved for it to be a port to the PlayStation 5, this is arguably just as good.
According to the game’s official Twitter page, an update containing a PvP mode will be added to the game later this year, allowing players and their pals to duke it out online for glory or for fun.
PvP will be confined to team-based arena battles, which is a bit disappointing but makes sense considering having it available in an open world could open the door to griefers.
The arena mode will be added to the game at some point later this year, initially believed to be during the Summer before this was corrected by the official Twitter page.

Also coming later this year is a new island for players to explore, complete with additional pals to find, capture and work with for battling and farming.
There will also reportedly be new buildings to create, as well as new weapons to fight with amongst other additions.
The content update will supposedly release for Palworld players on PC and Xbox Series X/S, and there’s still no word on whether a PlayStation 5 port can be expected later this year.
