Pokémon is one of Nintendo’s most beloved properties and it’s unthinkable for it to be playable on rival platforms, right?
The Pokémon series made its debut on the retro handheld console, the Game Boy in 1996 with Pokémon Red, Green and Blue. Since that time the franchise has grown into a goliath for the entire entertainment industry.

From video games, trading cards, movies and anime, fans can never get enough of catching them all. While not the most recent entry in the video game series, Pokémon Legends: Arceus released in 2022 for the Nintendo Switch is considered by many to be one of the best in the series.

Unfortunately, long-time Pokémon video game developer, Game Freak, fell victim to a massive data breach leaking off kinds of information to the public, not only for video games but also the Nintendo Switch 2 as well as the movie sequel to Detective Pikachu.
As reported by DSOgaming, that data breach has also leaked playable builds of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl into the wild, on PC.
What’s more, these are native PC builds and not emulations originating from the Nintendo Switch. However, before we get carried away, this does not mean that Game Freak or Nintendo have plans on releasing these Pokémon games on PC.
Even console-exclusive titles are developed on PC and this is why the cracked playable builds of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl exist.

While we wouldn't recommend downloading any of these leaked builds for obvious reasons, gameplay footage does exist on platforms such as YouTube. Though Nintendo is understandably working hard to get them removed.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl are all available now on Nintendo Switch.
