It seems the region for the tenth generation of Pokémon games for the Nintendo Switch 2 has leaked, and at least we know that the food there will be good.
There have been a lot of rumours floating around regarding the next generation of mainline Pokémon games, following the release of the spin-off title Pokémon Legends: Z-A later this year, but it seems the latest one actually has a bit of weight to it.
As revealed by the Pokémon leaker Centro Leaks, it seems that the tenth generation of Pokémon games will be set in an area that’s analogous to the Greek Islands.

“Get ready for an oceanic adventure… It's true, we can confirm that Pokémon Gen 10, codenamed Gaia, will take place in the Cyclades!” Centro Leaks revealed.
“The game is planned for release next year exclusively for Switch 2.”
Now, it should be stated that the veracity of Centro Leaks’ info is very hit and miss. However, according to folks on the r/GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, this leak doesn’t actually come directly from them.
This info was supposedly found in the data that leaked during the Game Freak “Teraleak” last year, so considering that means that the source is Game Freak themselves… it would seem that this one is 100% true.

That’s probably why everyone in the comments in a thread detailing the leak seem pretty excited.
“True or not, it would be a cool idea. The 12 gods of the Greek pantheon plus Hades matches up perfectly with 8 gym leaders, the elite 4, and the champion,” commented user Ovguy8.
“Sootopolis City is one of my favorite places in Pokémon and that's at least like 50% Santorini, so if true I'd be very onboard with this,” replied user Champiness.
I particularly like the idea of fighting through the Elite Four being something similar to the Greek pantheon, so I’m immediately onboard. Here’s hoping this means we get some cool Greek-god inspired legendaries too.
