If you’re a retro fan, you’re going to enjoy what I’m about to tell you.

One year will set you back just £17.99, or you can opt for the more premium +Expansion Pack version of the service for £34.99 a year.
This is by far one of the cheapest gaming subscriptions out there.
A year of PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass could set you back triple-figures.
You’ll need the +Expansion Pack membership if you want to access the Game Boy library but once you’ve parted with that yearly fee, these games are yours to enjoy at no extra cost.

The two games next set to join the service are from the F-Zero series.
Who remembers F-ZERO CLIMAX and F-Zero - GP Legend?
ICYMI: Pokémon Legends Z-A is set to launch on Nintendo systems next year.
Developed by Suzak, F-ZERO CLIMAX launched all the way back in 2004 - and it would be a whopping 19 years before a new entry in the series would land.

If you’re not familiar, it’s a 2D racer with each race filled with a series of obstacles.
As the premise is so simple, it’s the perfect retro game to give a go if you’re not particularly well-versed in what the Game Boy console or F-Zero series had to offer.
F-Zero GP Legend landed slightly earlier - 2003 in Japan and 2004 in Europe and North America.
It was this instalment that introduced an effect known as Mode 7 that allowed for the background layers to rotate, giving the effect of a 3D world.

This mechanic is also used in F-ZERO CLIMAX.
With both games set to land on the service next week, you don’t have long to wait until you can dive in, so start revving those engines.
