Nintendo Switch gamers surprised with free Zelda-inspired game

Nintendo Switch gamers surprised with free Zelda-inspired game

Zelda fans will love this one

Nintendo Switch users can try a new game on their consoles that Xbox fans have been familiar with for quite a while.

Worth mentioning this isn’t a full game, just a demo, but you can squeeze a good hour out of it if you take your time.

The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom looks like the best Zelda game we’ve had since… the last Zelda game… check it out below

It’s none other than Minecraft Legends, a unique spin off of the blocky building game now owned by Microsoft following its acquisition of Mojang Studios.

Minecraft Legends sets itself apart by getting rid of the sandbox elements of the normal game and embracing a full-on, top-down RPG format where players will fight dangerous creatures, recruit armies and save the world.

The official description reads: “Fight your way through an exciting action-adventure game, inspired by classic dungeon crawlers and set in the Minecraft universe.

“Brave the dungeons alone, or team up with friends! Up to four players can battle together through action-packed, treasure-stuffed, wildly varied levels – all in an epic quest to save the villagers and take down the evil Arch-Illager!”

It’s pretty good and if you have an Xbox you can play it at no additional cost with Xbox Game Pass.

For Nintendo Switch users you’d have to buy it outright but there’s currently a free demo available

The game is very Zelda-coded, though that may not be intentional, just a happy coincidence on the developer’s part, either way it’s a great fit on Nintendo Switch especially when played portably.

You haven’t got long to give this game a go if you haven’t already, as the trial is only available until 3 September.

If you do like what you play though and have an Xbox, definitely check it out on Xbox Game Pass if you have a subscription.
