Switch fans rejoice, as Nintendo is giving away some premium content to celebrate Mario day this year.
If you aren’t aware of what the heck Mario day is, allow me to explain. Mario day falls on 10 Mar because if you change the date around to Mar 10, it spells Mario. Clever.
It's time to celebrate Mario day with freebies from Nintendo
So, to celebrate this year, Nintendo is giving away 14 days of Nintendo Switch Online membership.

This means players can take advantage of the subscription and not only play with their friends and family, but also get access to the Nintendo Music app, or play classic games.
After announcing the free access over on Twitter, Nintendo is pointing players to their website, where you’ll need to connect your account and claim the 14-day trial.
In order to claim the trial, it has been priced at zero platinum points, making it free for everyone.
It’s the perfect time to burrow through the classic catalogue of games available via the subscription and experience some absolute bangers.

To further honour the day of Mario, Nintendo are reducing a number of games featuring their mascot, on the eShop.
They are also running a community challenge for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, starting on 7 March, where players will be eligible to win 310 platinum points by clocking up over a million laps together.
You will, of course, need to own a copy of the game to take part in the challenge.
Nintendo is going all out this year, and fans are invited to celebrate along by playing a host of Mario games.
