The Nintendo Switch 2 has finally been revealed, and yet the leaks won’t stop coming… because we might have just heard news of one of its first Nintendo-developed launch titles.
Thank you in advance to ComicBook's Tyler Fischer for spotting this one!
As stated in a post from an anonymous source over on 4chan, one user believes that a new Smash Bros title will be a launch title for the Nintendo Switch 2.

According to the poster, "ALL of the roster is back again" and the new characters will include Waluigi, Toon Zelda, Noah and Mio, Armorouge and Ceruledge, Sol Badguy, Crash Bandicoot and Paper Mario.
So, let’s address the elephant in the room: this isn’t exactly the most airtight source for a leak.
Literally anyone can go on 4chan and post whatever the hell they want, with complete anonymity. The source on this one is no different from a random blog post from a no-named nobody.
ICYMI: Take a look at the console's reveal.
Also, there is a bit of a huge inconsistency this leak has overlooked: series creator and lead director Masahiro Sakurai announced his retirement a year back.

“For now, at least, I can’t really imagine a Super Smash Bros title without me,” Sakurai revealed following the announcement of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s final DLC character.
“Smash Bros is a massive important title for Nintendo, so it’s fair to assume there will be another one at some point, but it’s going to take some work to figure out exactly how to make that happen,” he said.
So while another Smash Bros game without Sakurai’s involvement is still on the cards, the fact that the 4chan leak directly references his involvement in this “new” game does make it difficult to believe.
Personally, I think we will see a new Smash Bros game during the Nintendo Switch 2’s life - but I’d wager that this leak is complete nonsense.
