Nintendo Switch 2's first game may have already leaked

What could it be?

We know the Nintendo Switch 2 is coming.

It might not be right now, but it’s on its way.

After Nintendo announced the Switch’s successor in true Nintendo fashion, fans have been wondering what games will launch on the new hardware.

There's no escaping how beautiful Breath of the Wild is

There is much speculation at the moment, with some suggestions more likely to happen than others.

What few of us were expecting, however, was that the first game may be a fairly recent adventure. One starring an iconic, beloved character.

It seems that Nintendo intends to launch The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the next Switch.

This enhanced version was hinted at last year, but then few other details emerged. Until now, on Twitter.

Renowned leaker, Midori, shared a tweet that said, “There is a project at Nintendo with the codename U-King-O.” Adding, “It might be related to the rumours of the next Nintendo console codename.”

The conversation then switched to this codename being about BOTW when another user responded, ”This is an enhanced version of Breath of the Wild. Breath of the Wild's codename is U-King.”

Naturally, fans have gone wild.

But being such a well-known leaker comes at a price, a price fans fear Midori will pay soon enough.

“NOOO MIDORI STOP THE NINTENDO NINJAS ARE GONNA GET YOU,” reads a comment, which we couldn’t help but chuckle at.

As we all know, Nintendo is very diligent when it comes to its property. And while nobody is infringing upon any rights by speculating, Nintendo may not want the information out there just yet.

Besides the fear that Midori will be silenced, fans are already thinking ahead to the price of such a remaster.

“If this is indeed a BOTW enhanced version part of me is excited at the possibilities of more games like this happening, but another is worried that it's gonna be full price again.”

Let’s be real, it’s going to be full price if this is indeed a game intended for the Switch 2.
