It is hard to remember that, thanks to multiple leaks, the Nintendo Switch 2 has not yet been officially unveiled and, even more so, that we are mostly unaware about which titles will be arriving alongside it.
There is no denying that the Nintendo Switch has been a lifesaver over recent years, thanks to both its handheld nature and the fact that it got many of us through a whole pandemic.
Go back to where it all began with the trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild below!
However, with the Nintendo handheld soon celebrating its eight-year anniversary, it is time for a successor and we can expect it to come in the shape of, well, the Nintendo Switch 2.

Although it has yet to have been officially revealed and insiders can only guess at a release date (April 2025), we do not actually know.
That being said, according to yet another recent leak, we can expect to see a Switch favourite arrive on the Nintendo Switch 2.
According to well-known Nintendo insider, Samus Hunter, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be rereleased for the Switch successor.
Hunter has revealed that Nintendo is currently working on a Switch 2 port for the beloved Zelda game.

In his words, “there has been work on a better version of Breath of the Wild” but Hunter is still “unaware of how it will be handled”.
This is perhaps referring to previous rumours that Nintendo was working on multiple patches for some of our favourite Switch games ahead of the Switch 2 launch.
Of course, this news should be taken with a pinch of salt but would make sense after it was reported that Breath of the Wild was one of the games featured in the Nintendo Switch 2 demo shown to developers back in 2023.
With The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild being one of Nintendo's most successful games, it would make sense for it to receive a Nintendo Switch 2 port.

However, we will have to wait to see if this recent report is true.
