Capcom reportedly has big plans for 2024, an unannounced game that’ll supposedly boost their sales figures before the end of its fiscal year.
It’s no secret that Capcom has had a very good year so far, with the evidence being all the critically acclaimed games it’s released over the last few months.

For starters, there’s the outstanding Resident Evil 4 remake, a smash hit amongst fans for modernising a beloved classic which has sold over 5 million copies, likely more as we creep closer to Halloween.
Then Street Fighter 6 spin-kicked its way onto the scene, revolutionising the arcade series with slick controls, gorgeous visuals and an online scene that’s as competitive as ever, even when there’s a tournament disaster…
The third-person shooter Exoprimal also launched, garnering thousands of fans, thanks to its inclusion on Xbox Game Pass, with many calling it “outrageously fun.”
Capcom isn’t done yet though, as a recent interview has revealed there’s one more title on the way before the end of the company’s fiscal year, which concludes in March 2024.

During a Q&A chat with the company’s investors, it was asked how Capcom was planning to achieve its goal of selling 45 million game copies on consoles before the start of next year.
The response was: “We are planning a major title in the second half of this FY. Additionally, we originally planned to achieve the goal mainly by focusing on sale events in the second half of this FY to boost the sales figures of our catalogue titles.”
What this mystery title could be is anyone’s guess. Speculation suggests it’ll be another entry in the Monster Hunter series, though other fans are hoping for a new Mega Man game, Devil May Cry 6, or a remake of Dino Crisis similar to that of the Resident Evil remakes.
The Monster Hunter series will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in March 2024, so it seems like a safe bet to say a new game, or re-release/remaster of prior games will be in the works at Capcom.
