Rockstar Games caught us all off guard last week when it announced the company will soon be celebrating its 25th anniversary, before confirming a trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto game, GTA VI, will be shared sometime in December.
It was the news fans have been waiting for, and speculation on the next instalment of the franchise is at an all-time high, with everyone wondering what the game might be like, where it’ll be set, and who will appear.
For fans of GTA V, top picks would be any of the three protagonists, Franklin, Trevor and Michael, the latter of which is rumoured to be returning in a future expansion.
This has obviously sparked the idea of him returning in GTA VI as well, and the actor has deviously teased a potential return on Twitter.

A fan tweeted Ned Luke, the actor responsible for the voice and motion capture of Michael, asking him “Please tell me Michael is coming back… please…”
Unsurprisingly, Ned Luke coyly replied "It's a mystery," followed by five star emojis, sparking heated discussions as to whether a return could happen or if the actor was simply messing with us.
While it’s unlikely Michael, or any of the GTA V cast, will return for GTA VI, there’s definitely hope for a reunion in GTA Online, especially since Trevor and Franklin have been featured in previous DLCs.

It’d be a remarkable send-off to the online mode to bring back the three protagonists who started it all, for one last ultimate heist that wraps up GTA V, and sets the stage for the next game.
