Their evidence? Suspicious activity by Rockstar hinting at something big, and the fact Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 were both revealed in October as well.

Recently though, the conspiracy theorists put on their tin foil hats once again, believing the GTA developer is taunting them with the latest update for Grand Theft Auto Online.
Taking a look at the official GTA+ page, a new image is advertising free taxi rides around Los Santos for subscribers. At the top of the image, you can see the iconic Vinewood sign, though only the first five letters are visible, reading "Vinew" which fans believe to actually say "VI New" thus hinting at a reveal.
The developer did something similar not too long ago, sharing a new t-shirt GTA Online players could redeem for their characters. The image used also featured a cutoff Vinewood sign, with only the "VI" being visible.
Whether this is genuinely a hint from Rockstar that an official announcement is imminent is anyone's guess, but there signs are there if you care to pay attention to them.

It doesn't help that it's been an agonising wait for the game's reveal, with many believing an announcement would arrive during GTA V's 10th anniversary celebrations.
Unfortunately that didn't happen, so fans have spent the last few weeks combing through the latest leaks and rumours, with a recent one claiming the official logo for GTA VI has been found.
When it eventually releases, Grand Theft Auto VI will launch for the Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
