It’s become a bi-weekly part of my job these days to bring you the latest disturbed ramblings of the Grand Theft Auto VI community, so I should be a little more numb to it at this point.
However, this one… this one might take the cake, guys.
Shout out in advance to Connor Bennett over on Dexerto for the original story!

Rockstar Games announced the small indie game Grand Theft Auto VI back in 2022, then they dropped the first trailer for the game on December 4, 2023.
Since then, we’ve basically heard nothing. Now for 99% of upcoming games, this would be fine. Normal, even. But the GTA VI community is being driven mad by the radio silence.
There’s been so many theories about the release date of the next GTA VI trailer. First, the community started studying the phases of the moon, then they moved on to inventing events for Rockstar to showcase something at, and now - well, now they’re studying suspiciously coloured reflections.
Rockstar Games posted a little update on Twitter regarding the ongoing Heist Challenge in Grand Theft Auto V. Take a look at that image. Completely normal, standard picture, right?

Uh, no, actually (according to several replies on Twitter). That’s clearly the Rockstar logo in the water’s reflection, and also the colours sort of look like the poster, and oh my god is that the moon?!
Some people are also trying to add up the numbers on the boat to get a date for the trailer, and guys, c’mon - what are we doing here?
I think the obvious answer has been staring us in the face the whole time. GTA VI is up for the Most Anticipated Game at The Game Awards, which is in two weeks time. Rockstar couldn’t ask for an easier lay-up.
If December 13 passes without a Grand Theft Auto VI trailer, then feel free to go back to the crackpot theorising. Until then, relax folks.
