Rockstar Games threw the world a massive curveball a few hours ago when it randomly dropped the first trailer for GTA VI, and while the majority were ecstatic, PC fans have had their worst fears realised.
After months and months of speculation regarding when the GTA VI trailer will drop, what itâll include, and what release date Rockstar Games will go with for the full release, we finally have the answers.

As many of you will likely remember Rockstar recently announced that the first look at the next Grand Theft Auto game would be revealed sometime today, 5 December, but unfortunately that plan fell to the wayside when the trailer leaked early.

Weâre not complaining though, as it looks fantastic if youâre a console player anywayâŠ
Eagle-eyed fans may have noticed towards the end of the trailer, that the platforms confirmed for the game were the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, with unfortunately no mention of a PC release.
In fairness, it was expected, as Rockstar is well-known by this point to release the PC port of its games much later than the console version. It did the same thing with GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, and itâs seemingly the same story this time around as well.
While itâs certainly a blow to players who only game on PCs, itâs not the end of the world as plenty of PC players have said if any game would convince them to buy one of the new-gen consoles, itâd be GTA VI. If youâre reluctant to buy a console for the game though, fear not, as if the past is to repeat itself a PC port for GTA VI will likely roll around a year after the gameâs launch.
