Years after its initial release, thousands of players are still patrolling the Mojave Wasteland, some of which are adding brand new content, like the latest expansion, Free Cheyenne.
It doesn't seem like we're getting a new Fallout game anytime soon, which I'm sure will upset fans of the series. Bethesda's release schedule currently includes its new IP Starfield, followed by The Elder Scrolls VI, with Fallout 5 entering development sometime after.
Take a look at one of the trailers for Starfield below
Luckily longtime fans are occupying their time with the franchise's legacy titles, like Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas, which is the topic of today's discussion.

While I think we'd all love a New Vegas 2, or at the very least a remake/remaster, it's unlikely we'll ever see one come to fruition, at least for the time being, which is a shame since a lot of the Obsidian Entertainment devs would be up for a revival.
Luckily, Bethesda titles are known for being a modder’s paradise, with Fallout: New Vegas being no different. Hundreds of mods are available to download for free, adding a variety of content like new quests and more.
The latest mod is called Fallout- Free Cheyenne, and currently has a demo available on Nexus Mods. Created by userKN, the expansion unlocks an entire new world to explore, complete with new quests to complete and new factions to meet. The description reads: “You have been offered a job to travel with the East Forty Caravan Company out to Free Cheyenne to deliver a package to the Platte Trading Company. Political intrigue, outlaws, and gunfights await you in Free Cheyenne because war... war never changes.”
While the full-release isn’t available yet, the free demo gives you a taste of Free Cheyenne, as well as the threats you’ll encounter there, like the war-hungry Caesar's Legion, a primary antagonist of Fallout New Vegas’ campaign.

Even if a sequel to New Vegas is years away, at least we can count on the dedicated modding community to keep the game alive and kicking.
