Few things can command more hype than a successful video game revival. There’s truly no better feeling than one of your favourite franchises finally getting some recognition, years after it was last officially acknowledged.
I mean, just look at the Fable series. Apart from Fable Anniversary (a remastered version of Fable: The Lost Chapters), the last main Fable game released in 2010. Now that Fable (as in, the rebooted version) is happening, it’s one of the most exciting games on the horizon. Also, Richard Ayoade is there.
Take a look at the latest trailer for Fable below.
Gamers are constantly begging for revivals of, well, pretty much everything, but right now on Reddit, attention has been turned to Army of Two. The third-person shooter series, developed by EA, had a heavy focus on co-op gameplay - alongside a friend, players were encouraged to achieve goals by working together (hence the series' name). Although they were great fun, the third (and as of now, final) game, Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel, released in 2013, meaning that we’ve now gone a full decade without anything new. Now, people are begging for either a remaster of the first game, or a reboot of the whole series.

“[Army of Two] was a gnat’s wing short of greatness. I remember it so fondly, although that may be partly due to my little 12-year-old brain I had when playing it. I would play the death out of [a remaster],” Jakeball400 said. “Reboot with it keeping the core [experience] being two players against the world where teamwork and fighting back to back is the essence? Yes,” Jag146 wrote. “Even though it didn't get a lot of traction, I played Devil's Cartel repeatedly. So much fun. One of several franchises I wish had survived into the modern era (Kane and Lynch being the other that immediately comes to mind),” added WhenRobLoweRobsLowes.
As of now, there aren’t any rumours which would suggest that an Army of Two revival is imminent, but who knows? It could happen eventually. Don't give up on the dream.
