Announced today, Amnesia: The Bunker is the latest entry into the terrifying horror series, set in World War I and featuring a semi-open world with randomisation so that every playthrough will scare the blue out of your jeans.
I'll be honest with you. Today, I woke up in not the greatest of moods. I'm tired because I've had a busy week and haven't had decent enough sleep to recover, we're all a mite stressed at this time of year, and I've got three layers on because it is that cold where I am. Scrolling through the news, I thought: let's crack on, see how we go, things could get a bit better. And boy howdy. Did Frictional Games turn this Friday upside down.
Have a look-see at the trailer for Amnesia: The Bunker below:
Screaming, crying, throwing up. That'll be me and protagonist Henri Clément both in The Bunker. As per, Henri has lost his memories of what has happened in this desolate bunker and he's being hunted by... something. "Immerse yourself in the multiple ways of tackling survival," stated Frictional Games in the press release. "You are armed with a revolver gun, a noisy dynamo flashlight, and other scarce supplies to scavenge and craft along the way. With randomisation and unpredictable behavior, no play-through is the same." Oh, and that revolver has only one bullet. I'm sure that's not significant at all.

Again, fans will be happy to hear that their actions will affect how the story plays out and that the creature here with you will react to your strategies. That being said, the developer departs from the standard linear structure of the previous Amnesia games to offer a semi-open world. That means the monster can get you from anywhere. Perfect. Good.
Amnesia: The Bunker launches for PC, PlayStation and Xbox in 2023.
