Fallout meets Bloodborne in stunning new survival horror

Step into the abyss

There’s an upcoming survival horror game coming to Steam soon, and it’s one Fallout and Bloodborne fans are going to love.

As someone who adores Bloodborne I’m a big fan of games that throw you straight into the deep-end in a situation beyond the horrors of human comprehension.

A good example is Silent Hill 2 (2024), which deserves plenty of awards this December

Fallout is a little similar, as each game typically begins with your character taking their first few steps into the wasteland, where there are no rules and you need to fight like hell just to survive.

Hopefully Season 2 of the Fallout TV series gives us an even more in-depth look at what’s lurking out in the post-apocalyptic world, and what trouble it could cause for The Ghoul and Lucy.

Back to the matter at hand though, if you’re a fan of Bloodborne, Fallout or both you should take a look at The Path Into The Abyss on Steam, as it looks like the best/worst of both worlds.

The game describes itself as “a hardcore first-person open-world survival shooter set in Buenos Aires with a backdrop of cosmic horror, combat mechanics, dynamic AI, and looting.”

The gameplay shown gives off Stalker vibes, as it involves the player roaming an unfamiliar wasteland with potential threats lurking around every corner, luckily you’re armed to the teeth.

Unfortunately there’s no release date for the game at the time of writing, all it says on Steam is the date is “to be announced” so God knows when that will be.

Nevertheless it looks like a solid horror/action-shooter so if that’s your kind of genre it’s definitely worth checking out when it launches, probably sometime next year if we had to guess.

For updates on the game you can add it to your wishlist and follow the developers on their various platforms.
