Fallout meets Bloodborne in grisly new sequel

Fallout meets Bloodborne in grisly new sequel

Set to land on PC and consoles next year

If you’re after something that blends the post-apocalyptic flavours of Fallout with the challenge of FromSoftware’s Bloodborne, then I have a game that you’re going to want to keep an eye on.

Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone is on the way, and this grisly sequel has now dropped its first gameplay trailer.

You may recall that the first Chernobylite game launched back in 2021.

Developed by The Farm 51, Chernobylite was equal parts a first-person shooter and survival horror that saw players venture into the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone as physicist Igor Khymynuk in search of his missing fiance.

You don’t need to worry about catching up on that game if you did miss out, as Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone offers up a brand new adventure.

This time around, you’ll play as a planewalker - someone who can travel between parallel worlds.

You’re in search of a high-energy material known as Chernobylite but become trapped in the Zone, endlessly attacked by hordes of nightmarish creatures.

Take a look at the new gameplay trailer for Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone below.

Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone is a post-apo action RPG game, mixing free exploration of huge and extremely realistic open world, challenging combat, unique crafting, team and base management with non-linear storytelling,” reads the synopsis.

The game boasts an “advanced melee combat system” which we can now see in action thanks to the latest trailer.

Certainly, there’s plenty of gunplay involved too but you can land some nice damaging melee blows on your enemies using a variety of weapons.

So too is it up to you whether you go in slowly and stealthily, or blast in guns blazing.

Alongside all of this, you'll want to develop a base - and I can’t fail to mention that you can actually create different planewalker builds across parallel universes, allowing you to access the most useful build when faced with any given problem.

All in all, the game is shaping up very nicely.

Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone doesn’t have a release date just yet, but is targeting a 2025 launch.
