Mass Effect players haunted by mysterious alien corpse

Mass Effect players haunted by mysterious alien corpse

Even Shepard can't explain this one

Mass Effect has been well combed over by the collective fanbase, but by individual players?

Well, there’s probably still a lot you can learn.

From alternate endings to shifty enemies you’ve likely never encountered, there’s plenty for you to lookout for on your next playthrough.

And let’s face it, a new playthrough is going to be needed to tide us over until the next Mass Effect entry.

While the game remains unnamed and without a release window, we know that it’s set after the events of Mass Effect 3.

Teaser trailers have thus far confirmed the return of Liara, the Geth, and introduced us to a mysterious individual wearing an N7 uniform, but I digress.

We’re here to unearth new Mass Effect secrets, so allow me to introduce you to a mysterious alien corpse.

ICYMI: Take a look at the teaser trailer for the next Mass Effect game below.

Fans of the game have been praising the creepy atmosphere of the original instalment over on Reddit.

The eerie roars when you’re out driving the Mako, the unexplained mysteries like the League of One … it’s all very dark and twisted when you pay close attention.

For example, players can stumble across strange beings that the xenobiology database can’t even identify, as pointed out by user Futhis.

The skull of one of these creatures can be found in the Armstrong Nebula on the planet Maji orbiting Vamshi, according to the Mass Effect Wiki.

The game has no explanation of what this creature might be, putting into perspective just how much of Mass Effect’s vast universe is unexplored.

Shepard notes that there are signs of heavy weapon fire on the skull.

The main theory is that the creature might’ve been used in death matches by Pirates which would explain why this skull is one of a kind on this planet.

Its official title is ‘Odd Skull’ prior to scanning and ‘Strange Skull’ post scanning.

I bet you’ll keep an eye out for it next time you load up this BioWare classic.
