The Last of Us first-person mode is such a game changer, it feels like a whole new game.
The PC modding community is a wonderful thing. Whether it be custom-made character skins, performance overhaul or a visual upgrade, the sky really is the limit for those talented indie developers that bring even more joy to the video games we love.
One such game is The Last of Us: Part I and despite releasing in a really bad way, a modder has at least in some part, offered a friendly distraction from the recent bad publicity that the PC port has garnered.
That’s to a series of bugs and glitches, The Last of Us: Part I on PC has become Naughty Dog’s worst-reviewed game ever and fans have been queuing up for full refunds. It’s certainly a sad state of affairs for the PlayStation darling. However, that hasn't stopped a modder from enhancing the game to new heights, arguably making it better than ever.

As reported by PC Gamer, a modder named Voyages Revenge uploaded gameplay videos of The Last of Us: Part I first-person mode and if you weren't jealous of PC mods before, you might be now.
Rather than getting into all the mechanics and coding, Voyages Revenge has achieved the first-person perspective by zooming into Joel’s eye level and to be perfectly honest, it looks amazing! It certainly makes me wish that Naughty Dog would create an official mode for both PC and PS5. Though the likelihood of that ever happening is slim to none.
At this time, the mod isn't available to the public and with Voyagers Revenge promoting a Patreon in a video upload, we’re unsure as to whether Naughty Dog or Sony might see this as profiting from its product. Only time will tell.
In related The Last of Us news, now that the debut season of the live-action Max (formerly HBO Max) adaptation has concluded, we’ve ranked all the episodes from worst to best.
