A Rainbow Six film is in development at Paramount Pictures, starring Michael B. Jordan as the leader of a multi-country anti-terrorist squad fighting an international conspiracy.
Michael B. Jordan has, funnily enough, already appeared in an adaptation of Tom Clancy's work. He starred in Amazon Studios' Without Remorse opposite Jamie Bell, Jodie Turner-Smith and Guy Pearce as US Navy SEAL John Kelly who hunts down the hitmen who murdered his wife and unit members. It's a run-of-the-mill thriller really, but particular praise was paid to Jordan's performance, and now the sequel is officially on the way.

The Hollywood Reporter said that Chad Stahelski has been brought on board to direct. Building from a background in kickboxing, Stahelski is a former stuntman who has doubled for Keanu Reeves in The Matrix, as well as serving as a stunt coordinator for Revolutions and Reloaded. In fact, if you thumb through his stuntwork over the years, you'll find films like Constantine, I Am Legend, Dredd and The Wolverine among them.

Obviously, Stahelski is now very well-known as the director of the John Wick series and I imagine those entrancing action sequences and visual style will be infused into the new Rainbow Six film. Oh, and just so everyone's up to speed, John Kelly is John Clark now as CIA officer Robert Ritter assigns him a new identity in order to not raise suspicions over Kelly's "death" in Murmansk. This confused me a little bit when I was writing this.
