Hogwarts Legacy is almost here, and it looks like fans can prepare themselves for an absolutely colossal adventure.
Ahead of Hogwarts Legacy’s launch on new-gen consoles and PC (in case you missed the memo, those planning on playing on previous-gen consoles and Switch still have quite a wait ahead of them), it appears that the game’s official art book has made its way online. Thanks to that, we may have just got a proper look at an early map concept.
Check out Simon Pegg’s introduction to his Hogwarts Legacy character, headmaster Phineas Nigellus Black, below.
Posted to Twitter by @ManwithSecrets_, some scans of the book appear to show the Great Hall and Hogsmeade at Christmas time, fully decorated for the season, as well as a number of locations around Hogwarts itself. The page that’ll probably be the most interesting to fans though is the one which contains an image of an “early world map”. Although we did previously see an early map concept in a behind-the-scenes video, this one seems to be more detailed - loads of paths can be seen sprawling across the whole world, and if you look closely, Hogwarts can be spotted right in the centre.
Now, obviously, the key point to take away here is that this is an early map, so fans shouldn’t expect the final in-game one to be exactly the same as this. However if its scale is mostly accurate, then regardless of the layout, we can expect the map to be enormous. I mean, just look at how tiny Hogwarts is compared to the rest of the world. That’s a lot of land to explore.
