Finally, a long-requested feature is coming to Hogwarts Legacy over a year after its initial release but not everyone is happy.
When Hogwarts Legacy was originally released for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in February 2023, it was met with critical acclaim and eventually became the best-selling video game of that year. Yet, despite this, it was still snubbed at major ceremonies such as The Game Awards to the dismay of fans.
Check out the Hogwarts Legacy trailer below!
“Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world action RPG set in the world first introduced in the Harry Potter books. Embark on a journey through familiar and new locations as you explore and discover magical beasts, customise your character and craft potions, master spell casting, upgrade talents and become the wizard you want to be,” reads the description of the game.

Whether it's exploring the fantastical halls of Hogwarts Castle, going for a browse in Hogsmeade Village or being chased by hell-spawn spiders in the Forbidden Forest, there’s plenty of fun to be had in Hogwarts Legacy. However, no matter how good a game is, there is always room for improvement such as the upcoming update arriving next week.
On Monday, 6 June a new update for Hogwarts Legacy will not only bring the ‘Haunted Hogsmeade Shop Quest’ and various cosmetic items outside of the PlayStation platform but also a Photo Mode so that you can share your best pics of the Wizarding World to friends across social media.

“Praise Merlin, a Photo Mode,” replied GameSmithVP. “Finally, Poto Mode,” said an equally excited LukeStephensTV.
“Thank you! Happy to see Hogwarts Legacy is still getting support a year later,” exclaimed Goddess_Maxwell. “Thank you, so much. I really love this news, it’s music to my ears,” replied Croonenmaxxim.
However, not everyone is happy with some fans left wondering whether or not Hogwarts Legacy will ever get a New Game Plus and new story DLC.
“That’s all, no New Game Plus? How disappointing,” said the dejected MrManiacal. “Just give us DLC with an extended story,” replied a disappointed HouseofMunroe.

Hopefully, we’ll get all the other added improvements which fans have been asking for in a potential sequel. Until then, we can enjoy Hogwarts Legacy on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
