Hogwarts Legacy 55GB update makes changes we've been begging for

Hogwarts Legacy 55GB update makes changes we've been begging for

The patch notes are here and they're good

Hogwart’s Legacy has finally received the big sumer update that Avalanche and Warner Bros have been discussing for the past week or so.

It’s a big download too, sitting at over 50gb for PC and it brings with it a lot of changes but also some new content for players who have been patiently awaiting news for months.

The summer update for Hogwart's Legacy is finally here and it brings some welcome additions

Among the many changes is some new content for those playing on anything that isn’t a PlayStation. You’ll finally have access to the Haunted Hogsmeade mission which was once a Sony exclusive.

There’s also a photo mode which many have wanted for quite some time - this is unlocked after you get the field guide in-game.

You’ll be able to take photos of yourself wearing the new cosmetics, as there’s a bunch of those added in too, including the Onyx Hyppogriff mount, the Felix Felicis Potion, and the Shopkeeper Cosmetic set.

For PC witches and wizards you get a few extra features like NVIDIA DLSS to improve your visuals, although the AMD equivalent, FSR, still sits at a older version.

There’s also an improvement to ray tracing, which should take the visuals to yet another level and stand out in those many photos you’re going to snap.

Overall, this update brings the game in-line with the PlayStation version which was the version to play since launch as it featured all kinds of exclusives.

So, if you’re still playing Hogwart’s Legacy, or have been holding out on playing it, now seems to be the best time, especially on PC.

Whether this is the last update for the game, it’s hard to know as talk is rampant that a sequel is on the way with a whole new story.

For now, we can all enjoy the game as it was intended to be, no matter which platform we’re using.
