What’s more, Hogwarts Legacy may also be getting a long-awaited new lease of life.
I’ve never witnessed a more successful game have such a dull post-launch period, but that could be about to change.
After rumours of a Director’s Cut emerged earlier this year, additional evidence has now surfaced online.
Updated logos have reportedly been added to the game’s files on Steam.

Strangely, it will continue to be available to all “players in Asia, including Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, as well as other select Asia and MENA territories”.
For the affected territories though, the app has already been removed from the app store and in-game purchases have been frozen.
“We’d like to thank those in the Americas, Europe and Oceania for playing, and are incredibly proud and honoured that so many fans all around the world have enjoyed Harry Potter: Magic Awakened with such enthusiasm and passion,” a statement added.
Already this is an upsetting move but to make matters worse, it’s been confirmed that players will not be eligible for refunds on any in-game purchases made. All related social media channels will also close.

“I wish they would finish the story at least before closing the servers. It's a shame, this game had a lot of potential,” wrote Reddit user IceGalahad.
“I'm actually really angry, all that time, money, and energy wasted,” added meebee3.
The live service market continues to be volatile, and it’s once again a shame to see so many players affected.
