We’re all desperate to know what Hideo Kojima is working on next. A few weeks ago, Norman Reedus accidently let slip that development had begun on Death Stranding 2 which Kojima then seemingly confirmed via social media.
Insiders also suggest that Kojima was working on a horror game titled Overdose, starring Margaret Qualley. To date, no such game has been announced but Kojima did make an appearance during the Xbox and Bethesda showcase to confirm that he was working on a project with Xbox. We don’t know what this is, but Kojima has lifted the lid on a previous project of his and it sounds incredible.
Take a look at Kojima’s appearance during the Xbox and Bethesda showcase below.
Amazon Prime’s The Boys hit the headlines this week for its wild and wacky superhero orgy. You heard me right, and you can read all about it. Well, Hideo Kojima has taken to Twitter to announce that he was once working on a game that was very similar to The Boys. How incredible would that have been?

Kojima explained that he had to stop watching The Boys after a few episodes as the concept was too similar to his detectives vs superheroes themed game. He also revealed that Mads Mikkelsen was his first choice to take the lead role.
The full tweet read: "The Boys, which I quit after three episodes of season one. I thought I'd watch the rest of the show. Actually, I watched a few episodes that were delivered at the time when I was about to start a project that I had been warming up for a long time and put it on hold because the concept was similar (different settings and tricks). A buddy (male/female) thing with a special detective squad facing off against legendary heroes behind the scenes. I was thinking of Mads as the lead.”
Interestingly, Kojima said that the project was put “on hold” so maybe this game will finally see the light of day in the future. If Amazon ever decided to make a game based on The Boys, we now know just the person.
