It's been a heck of a week for Grand Theft Auto fans waiting for a crumb of news on GTA VI.
Industry insiders and alleged leakers had the world convinced that were were getting a trailer for GTA VI on either Tuesday 24 October or Thursday 26 October. As we now know, from the safety of this Friday evening, we still have no GTA VI trailer. I'm beginning to believe it's never coming. Maybe Rockstar Games is playing a really elaborate prank?
Take a look at everything we know about GTA VI below!
The good news is that one of the more concerning GTA VI rumours has been debunked. Just a few weeks ago the GTA VI age rating surprised everyone by coming in at only 15+ alongside what appeared to be a 2024 release date. As it turns out, this leak was fake.

The Australian Age Rating Board addressed the topic in response to an enquiry from PCGamesN. A spokesperson explained: “The classification record for Grand Theft Auto 6 that previously appeared on the National Classification Database was unfortunately erroneous. This has now been removed from the Classification website.”
The obvious bad news is that we still have no idea if 2024 is an accurate release date, though we can't rule it out. The much better news? GTA VI is very unlikely to be a 15+.
Given that GTA V and GTA Online are both rated MA18+, it seemed off that the next game in the series would be 15+. Hardly a shift towards a much younger audience, but it did spark fears in some fans that the new game might see a softening of some of the series' sardonic edges. Thankfully we don't have to worry about this anymore, and I'd suspect GTA VI will be just as rude, anarchic, and outrageous as we'd want a new Grand Theft Auto to be.
