It feels surreal to say this but Rockstar Games just set the Grand Theft Auto VI trailer page to go live on YouTube. Yes, I am screaming inside with excitement. We are less than 24 hours away from the world premiere of the first ever GTA VI trailer.
The trailer is due to premiere tomorrow, on 5 December, at 2pm GMT / 9am ET - granting us our first official look at what might just be the most anticipated game of all-time. The trailer isn’t even out yet, but it’s already breaking social media records. Just think how quickly those views are going to skyrocket. You might think that being this close to the GTA VI trailer, we’re free of leaks. Nope. Over the weekend, we supposedly got our first look at the game’s map, allegedly leaked by one Rockstar dev’s son but let’s hop back to that live trailer page. Here’s how you can join in.
While we wait for the trailer, take a look at these GTA: The Trilogy wins and fails.
As I said, the GTA VI trailer page is now live on YouTube. Please note, the trailer page is live, key word being page. The trailer is not due out until tomorrow. This means that you can bookmark it, favourite it, and hit the bell icon to be signed up for notifications, alerting you when the video goes live tomorrow. Take a look below.
There’s practically no ‘new’ information to be gleaned from this page. The placeholder image used on the video matches the graphic used on the social media trailer announcement. Still, it’s incredibly exciting to see the page live on the Rockstar Games YouTube page with a 23 hour countdown timer. After years of speculation and leaks, it’s hard to believe it’s real but there it is. What an early Christmas treat.

There is a chat box but for now, it’s not open for viewers to comment on. You can drop an emoji reaction though and as I type this, hearts are flooding in. There are a whopping 38,000 people on the page at the time of writing - a wild number when you consider this is a dormant page for the next 23 hours. Interestly, the video is just called ‘Watch Trailer 1: Tuesday, December 5 at 9AM ET’, so Rockstar is still refusing to call it GTA VI. All will be revealed tomorrow.
