It's finally happened, Rockstar Games has officially announced the first trailer for GTA VI.
Reports surfaced late last night that Rockstar Games was planning to announce GTA VI soon, and now we know for sure. In a statement posted to Twitter, Rockstar's very own Sam Houser confirmed when we can expect to see the first gameplay for the long-awaited video game.
Take a look at everything we know about GTA VI below!
"We are very excited to let you know that in early December, we will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto. We look forward to many more years of sharing these experiences with all of you," Houser wrote on Twitter.

"Next month marks the 25th anniversary of Rockstar Games," Houser added. "Thanks to the incredible support of our players worldwide, we have had the opportunity to create games we are truly passionate about.
"In 1998, Rockstar Games was founded on the idea that video games could come to be as essential to culture as any other form of entertainment, and we hope that we have created games you love in our efforts to be part of that evolution."
It's interesting to note that Rockstar still isn't referring to the new game as GTA VI, and rather continues to call it 'the next Grand Theft Auto'. It remains to be seen what, exactly, this means.
Rockstar Games insider Tez2 took to the GTAForums recently to reveal they've heard the studio doesn't expect GTA VI to launch until spring 2025, which is actually slightly later than we'd previously heard. Worse still, they suggest the game could yet be delayed further.

"Several devs expect the release window in 2025," they write. "A spring release is what's expected. But Rockstar aimed for a Spring release for both GTA V & RDR 2 in the past that was eventually delayed to a Fall release."
The insider went on on to (correctly) predict that GTA VI would be announced this year. Tune in next month!
