It’s a big day. Why? It’s the first State of Play of the year.
Tonight, Sony is set to hold a 40-minute event showcasing what’s next for PlayStation, both from its first-party studios and third-party partners from around the world.
As for what you can expect, well, that officially remains unknown, although leakers are adamant that we’ll see a remaster of God of War’s original trilogy.

My personal wishlist features an update on Ghost of Yōtei, perhaps unveiling the game’s release date, in addition to some more DLC for Astro Bot.
As for Grand Theft Auto fans, they’re hoping to see GTA VI’s second trailer finally dropped.
Wishful thinking? Perhaps, but when has this fandom ever been without a trailer two theory?
One falls through, and another manifests.

For now, you’ll have to make do with GTA VI’s reveal trailer.
“Why is there no one talking about the possibility of us getting some GTA VI news tomorrow in the PlayStation State of Play?” wrote Reddit user Any_Resident_5964.
“I know some of you will say Rockstar never does that or they don't need that and I agree, however, last time we were getting a GTA is a decade ago, if not more, so you can't really predict if Rockstar would use State of Play to announce news.”

The user points out the reasons why I’m dubious as to whether Rockstar would make use of a State of Play.
GTA VI’s original trailer set enormous viewership records. Rockstar doesn’t need to rely on events like a State of Play.
Just because Rockstar doesn’t need Sony’s assistance though, it doesn’t mean it won’t accept it. For all we know, GTA VI could have a PlayStation-exclusive pre-order incentive, which may be the reason for Rockstar to use the State of Play platform.
It’s all very uncertain.

“GTA VI will not be presented in the State of Play,” wrote an adamant Ordinary_Nobody_5902.
“I'd be surprised, but I also admit it was the first thing I thought of when I saw the announcement. Could happen at the very end, unlikely but I wouldn't say the chance is zero percent,” added bluedemon82384.
For the most part, the fandom is more full of doubt than hope, which echoes my own feelings.
To find out if the trailer is featured, you can tune into the State of Play from 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 10pm GMT / 11pm CET.
