It’s another day, which means that it’s another day of Grand Theft Auto VI rumours making the internet rounds.
At this point, I assume many of us will roll our eyes when we glance upon the latest GTA VI rumours, but here we are. To be fair, we’re talking about one of the biggest video game franchises in history. So who are we kidding, we’re clambering for any news, especially as Rockstar Games continues to remain radio silent on GTA VI’s development.
Check out our GTA VI news round up video below!
It’s beggars belief that despite being announced to be in development nearly two years ago, we still know very little about GTA VI, at least officially. Seeing as Rockstar Games is seemingly uninterested in giving us a trailer, release date or even story details, we’ll have to make do with what we can get.

At least in terms of the rumours, it has been speculated that GTA VI will take us back to the Miami-inspired location of Vice City, and it will feature two playable characters named Jason and Lucia, inspired by the infamous crime duo Bonnie and Clyde. Oh, and we did have those gameplay leaks which were taken from a very early build of the game.
So, what else is new in the world of Grand Theft Auto VI rumours? Well, according to a recent theory, a reveal is happening this weekend. Earlier this week, Bryan Zampella, a rumoured voice actor in GTA VI, posted an intriguing reel on his Instagram account.
Unfortunately at this time, the Instagram reel has since been removed, so make of that what you will. It could mean absolutely nothing or it means something, and the voice actor has been told off by Rockstar Games parent company Take-Two Interactive.

As reported by Dexerto (via Reddit), the video in question titled ‘Dead Drop’, posted by Zampella apparently featured Shawn Fonteno, who is the voice actor for Franklin in GTA V. It also features Zampella holding a gun and wearing a Hawaiian shirt, which is perhaps reminiscent of GTA: Vice City. The reel also mentions the date 17 September and this is where the hype comes in.
There could be a GTA VI announced on Sunday, 17 September. This date marks the 10th anniversary since the launch of GTA V, so fans are convinced Rockstar will celebrate it with a franchise update. Though it's abundantly clear that Zampella knows exactly what he’s doing and it has no doubt helped boost his Instagram profile.
Grand Theft Auto VI does not have a release date at this time, but Take-Two Interactive has hinted at a 2025 launch, and fans have been discussing whether or not we should be able to kill kids in the game. Yikes!
Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be released for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
