With this past weekend celebrating the first day of autumn, those eagerly anticipating the release of Grand Theft Auto VI will also know that it marks the start of a one-year countdown.
We are officially in autumn, or fall if you would rather, and if we are to trust Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive, that means that it is officially around a year until we can get our hands on Grand Theft Auto VI.

Despite recent rumours circulating that the highly-anticipated game may be delayed until 2026, both developer and publisher were quick to put a stop to that rumour by confirming that GTA VI is still expected to drop in fall 2025.
That means that between now and December, we could be sitting on the day that GTA VI will be released in one year's time.
As you can imagine, it is an exciting time for fans and they took to r/GTA6 to share their thoughts.
In a post announcing that we are “officially one year away”, fans discussed when they thought the Rockstar title would actually drop.

“Let's hope it goes quickly, and does not get delayed.... I'm somewhat hopeful,” one comment read.
Another optimistic fan said: “It'll be no time before we're playing. A year really isn't that long. Excited to see more official releases on the game soon.”
As it stands, we currently only have one official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI which was released almost a year ago.
With the second official trailer expected to drop any day now, this will be our second chance to see more of what we can expect from one of the most anticipated games of all time.
