The next Battlefield game doesn’t have a concrete release date yet, and it sounds like it’s Grand Theft Auto VI’s fault.
Thank you in advance to ComicBook's Cade Onder (per @charlieINTEL) for the original source!
Earlier this week, EA announced that a new Battlefield game is on its way.

The reveal was a little light on details, but they did reveal Battlefield Labs; a sort of expanded version of a playtest that will allow players to try the game out and shape its development before launch.
However, it would seem that the lack of a specific release date isn’t entirely due to this extended playtesting phase.
As revealed by EA CEO Andrew Wilson during an investors call yesterday, the next Battlefield game could release any time between April 2025 and April 2026.
According to Wilson, this is because EA is still trying to pinpoint the best time to drop the game. Gee, I wonder which big, upcoming game could be scaring EA so much…

Now Wilson didn’t specifically mention Grand Theft Auto VI, but let’s be real; it’s no exaggeration to say that it’s possibly the most anticipated game of all time.
Take a look at GTA VI in action below.
Every publisher is desperate to hear which month Rockstar Games is planning to release it because no other game is going to compete with the sales vacuum its launch is going to create.

Unfortunately for EA (and every other publisher), Rockstar and their parent company Take-Two are remaining tight-lipped about Grand Theft Auto VI for the time being.
That being said, fans do seem to think that we’ll hear some news regarding its release date sometime tomorrow due to, you guessed it, another investor's call.
Here’s hoping we finally get some sliver of information, because who knows how many publishers are currently withholding their games’ release dates out of fear of clashing with the big, bad Grand Theft Auto VI.
