GTA VI’s release date is going to be an event felt worldwide, whether you’re hoping to play the game or not.
If you regularly play games in your spare time I don’t see why you wouldn’t be excited for GTA VI, as the Grand Theft Auto series as a whole is pretty all-encompassing when it comes to its audience, most people like it.
Chances are they’re going to like this next one too, as GTA VI is looking stellar so far and we haven’t even seen actual, honest to God gameplay yet
For those who aren’t that bothered about Rockstar Games’ next masterpiece though I’ve got bad news for you, you’re not going to be escaping it when it launches.

It’s believed that the launch of GTA VI is so dreaded that it could actually interfere with the launch of other games around a similar time, as no studio wants to compete.
In some research conducted by The Game Business, GTA VI was described as “a huge meteor” that no studio wants to be under when it lands.
Studios apparently said “We will nudge our releases back or forward three weeks to avoid it. Of course, the problem is everyone is going to do the same. So three to four weeks before or after GTA 6, you’re going to get a load of games dropping content in what they believe will be the safe zone.”
It’s perfectly understandable, as whether you like it or not GTA VI is going to be all the rage for a very long time after launch, which is why I feel bad for the PC players who probably won’t get to play it until much later when they get their port.

You could argue it’s a bit of an overreaction to delay games because of it, but can you really blame them? Studios always want their games to have the best chance possible and going up against a monster like GTA VI sounds like there’d be zero chance of success…
