We all assumed we’d be on the final countdown to GTA VI’s trailer by now, yet here we are having already seen it.
In case you missed the events of the last 11 hours or so, a grainy version of GTA VI’s first trailer was uploaded to Twitter by a leaker, somewhat forcing Rockstar into releasing it early themselves. The studio took to the social media site to say, “Our trailer has leaked so please watch the real thing on YouTube.” Already, fans are heaping praise on the game which, graphically, might just be the strongest we’ve seen to date based on what we’ve seen. We also now know that GTA VI is set to land in 2025 so we’ve got quite a while to go yet. The good news though is that according to one industry analyst, the price of the game should be far more reasonable than recent rumours suggested.
ICYMI: Take a look at GTA VI’s brand new trailer below.
You may recall that a few months ago, so-called insiders claimed that GTA VI could set consumers back $150. I was dubious back then, and I’m even more so now. As reported by Reuters, analysts expect that GTA VI will be in line with the standard pricing of current-gen new releases.

Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter said, “The last one was the best-selling game of all time so not surprising that investors expect big things from the next instalment," adding that he would estimate GTA VI to retail for $70. It goes without saying that this hasn’t been confirmed by Rockstar but it makes a lot of sense. GTA VI is definitely releasing on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S though, so this is the type of pricing we’re used to seeing on these platforms.
Unfortunately, GTA VI doesn’t look set to launch on PC. The platform hasn’t been mentioned at all yet, although I’m sure - as with all other GTA releases - the game will land on PC further down the line. Who else is about to go and watch the trailer for the hundredth time?
