After years of keeping us waiting, Rockstar Games finally let us know when we can expect to play GTA VI and even released its first juicy trailer.
Following a series of further unfortunate leaks, Rockstar Games’ hand was forced to reveal the first official GTA VI trailer hours ahead of schedule. That being said, its premature drop likely only heightened the hype as the Grand Theft Auto VI trailer breaks the 100 million barrier on YouTube smashing a record once held by MrBeast.

Before the reveal of the first trailer, rumours were circulating social media that Rockstar Games could charge upwards of $100 for the standard edition of GTA VI. Hopefully, that estimate will not come to fruition as we’re sure GTA VI will continue to make all the money in the world for publisher Take-Take Interactive, even at the standard £70/$70 RRP. Thankfully, an analyst has predicted that the price of Grand Theft Auto VI will be far more reasonably priced than feared.

It’s always a hot topic of discussion whether or not we should pre-order games. After all, with those pre-orders locked in, publishers and developers may be more inclined to release unfinished games as we have seen many times over the years. For that reason, unless it’s a snazzy collector’s edition of limited quantities that I want, I tend to avoid pre-ordering video games. That being said, there is comfort in knowing that your highly anticipated games will arrive in the post at launch.

With that in mind, fans on Reddit have been discussing the topic of pre-ordering games especially when it comes to GTA VI. “The GTA trailer was nice but remember...no pre-orders,” exclaimed Redditor Michaluck. “Y'all know damn well the pre-order number will be high,” replied fforfadhlan. “You’re 100% correct, and that’s because the fan base for a game like GTA goes well beyond Reddit and other social media platforms. It’s very similar to how the newest Call of Duty sold so well,” said TheBostonKremeDonut.
“Will you pre-order GTA VI or not?” asked Reddit user bananapowerltu3 on a different thread. “I heard that it's not good to pre-order any video game, but this one has to be different.”
“Of course, it’s the most anticipated game ever. I’ll 100% be pre-ordering and pre-loading it so I can play at midnight,” replied butidktho. This makes total sense, especially when pre-ordering Grand Theft Auto VI digitally because we know that its file size will be massive. However, hopefully, GTA VI will be nowhere near the 750GB estimate.
“Same here, 100%. The whole “never pre-order” thing is quite overstated imo. Even if GTA VI somehow had terrible reviews, there’s no way I’m not playing it for myself - so if I’m gonna buy it anyway, there’s no point in me holding off as soon as it’s purchasable,” explained BubblesFast16 with that being a common consensus on the thread.
