I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, likely many times: the wait for Grand Theft Auto VI continues. Although it’s confirmed to be in development and has been for some time, Rockstar Games continue to keep us in the dark when it comes to a full reveal. We have no idea when GTA VI is coming but it sure feels like soon.
Last year, Rockstar Games was subject to a major cyber attack during which an hour’s worth of GTA VI development footage was leaked online alongside source code and various screenshots. In the last couple of weeks, the leaks have been coming thick and fast. We have a pretty good idea about what GTA VI’s map will look like, plus what kind of romance options the game will have. It also looks like GTA VI is due to have a whopping number of side activities on offer to keep you busy. The latest leak though seems to suggest that the game will take us to several different countries.
This incredible mod allows you to play as The Boys’ Homelander in GTA V.
As reported by GizChina, notorious leaker Matheusvictorbr- took to Twitter to suggest that GTA VI will feature some new international locations. One user asked, “Are you confident that GTA VI will definitely at least take place in Miami and parts of Brazil?” To this, the leaker replied, “I’m 80% confident of Carcer City, VC, Cuba, among others.” Very interesting indeed. Of course, this is just a rumour for now, so we’ll have to wait for official confirmation of the game’s locations from Rockstar themselves.
Advert
Just last month, the leaker added that they understand that fans will be updated on the progress of GTA VI “soon”. They added that the game is believed to be in the “final stage” of development. We sure hope so.
We’re speeding our way through the year towards Summer Game Fest. Could a GTA VI reveal be the big announcement of the night? Or will Rockstar choose to hold their own showcase? Only time will tell.
