As I'm sure you've heard by now, the rumoured file size for GTA VI currently doing the rounds on the internet is stupidly big. Like, so big it might as well have its own orbit and pull in other, smaller video games to float around it for all eternity.
GTA VI was first announced back in February 2022, though fans haven't exactly been kind about the nature of the game's reveal. We've also had to deal with a string of gameplay leaks that left Rockstar very unhappy indeed.

Among some of the more outlandish GTA VI leaks is the recent suggestion that the game will clock in at an eye-watering 750GB, boasting around 400 hours of gameplay. That small whimpering cry you can hear is your Xbox Series S in the corner of your room begging for mercy.

I probably don't need to tell you that if GTA VI actually does require 750GB of space, that would make it the biggest video game ever made in terms of sheer storage. For context, let's take a look at some of the biggest file sizes on Steam at the time of writing, shall we?
As it stands, these are the top five largest Steam games in terms of file size:
- Starfield (Bethesda) - 125GB
- Red Dead Redemption 2 (Rockstar Games) - 150GB
- Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War (Treyarch) - 175GB
- Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare (Infinity Ward) - 175GB
- Ark Survival Evolved (Studio Wildcard) - 400GB
It's worth noting that Ark: Survival Evolved's 400GB file size includes a bunch of the games expansions, which are technically required to get the most of the game so they definitely count.

Anyway, the point is clear: GTA VI is really, really massive, apparently. In fact 750GB is stupendously huge that I'd definitely recommend taking this one with a pinch of salt.
