Some “gameplay” and features from GTA VI may have already been seen before the game’s release.
We’ve technically seen some gameplay already through the trailer but I don’t know if you can count wide shots of the open world and NPCs walking around, gameplay to me is from the perspective of the player and it looks like from their point of view.
If the game looks half as good through our own eyes as the trailer makes it look though, we’re in for a treat
Rockstar Games continues to say very little about GTA VI, with practically every social media post from the publisher being perceived as some sort of hint or tease for its next game.

While it continues its stern silence some have pointed out that we may have seen some of GTA VI’s “gameplay” in other ways, specifically GTA V.
Digital Foundry reckons that the recent GTA V PC update, which added advanced lighting techniques including ray tracing, may have been backported from GTA VI.
This means it’s a feature that’ll be prominently featured in the next game but was repurposed and redistributed through Rockstar’s older title.
This can’t be confirmed of course since GTA VI isn’t out to be compared, but it’d make a lot of sense as we know GTA VI will be superior to its predecessor on a technical level, of course it’ll have better lighting.

In a piece by Eurogamer Alex Battaglia said “perhaps we are actually getting a preview of the lighting technology found in GTA 6 both in terms of features we can expect and even the level of performance we can expect."
Take it with a pinch of salt of course but it’s interesting to think about and it’d explain why GTA V got a PC update so late into its life, especially with Rockstar knowing it’ll be replaced later this year.
