GTA 6 fans are tired of waiting for the game, and have now called out Rockstar Games over the way in which the open-world crime sim was announced.
One thing gamers everywhere are sick of? Video games announced years before they're ready. Look at Cyberpunk 2077, which was teased back in May 2012. Or how about The Elder Scrolls VI, which was shown five years ago and probably won't be ready for at least another decade.
Take a look at everything we know about GTA VI below!
Rockstar Games first confirmed GTA VI was in active development back in February 2022. In that time, all we've had is embarrassing situations like fans rushing live TV shows and the infamous gameplay leaks from last summer. Gamers, famously not the most patient group, are growing ever-more antsy by the day.

“Why did Rockstar announce that they were working on GTA VI in 2022?” asked Redditor skyrimlo in a post over on the game's subreddit. It's a sentiment echoed by fans everywhere, who are beginning to feel Rockstar probably shouldn't have said anything until it had something to show. Not that Rockstar can win either way, of course.
“Since its announcement in February 2022, there has been no official info on the game,” they continued. “Why do you think it even announced it so soon if it’s not going to update us on the game’s development or release any promo?”
“Honestly I think they keep changing their minds on what to do - I think they were thinking about revealing the game not long after the leaks, hence them saying we'll hear more about it in the coming months,” suggested FromWestLondon. “Pretty sure they mentioned it once more after that as well - but here we are almost a year later and nothing. My gut feeling tells me we won't get an announcement this year - but who knows? Only time will tell.”
The latest reports suggest GTA VI is launching by March 2025 at the absolute latest, which sounds promising. I mean, it can't be that much further away... can it?
