Over nine years on from the release of Grand Theft Auto V, and fans are still hooked. Well, not that they’ve really got much other choice - the next game in the series is in development, as we all know, but chances are, it’s a long way off from actually coming out. We’ve still not got an actual trailer, although we now know a lot more about it thanks to the colossal leak which surfaced online last month.
Anyway, regardless of what’s going on with GTA VI, none of us can play it right now, which brings us right back to where we started. Thankfully though, modders are constantly adding heaps of improvements and entirely new content to GTA V, and one mod in particular is a must-have for anyone who’s starting to get a bit bored of Los Santos.
GTA V players have accumulated some hilarious wins and fails over the years - check out some of our favourites below.
As reported by PCGamesN, the Las Venturas Project describes itself as “the most ambitious Grand Theft Auto mod ever made”, and aims to add the entirety of the Las Venturas area from San Andreas into GTA V. According to the F.A.Q section on the mod’s site, the current version of the project covers a 3km² area, but it’s currently planned to stretch to 70km² eventually.

“This is a long-term project: creating a region that takes time for Rockstar Games' artists obviously takes even more time for a team of enthusiasts,” the site reads. “However, it also means that we are not subject to the same time and budget constraints as a video game studio: we are therefore completely free to undertake ambitious ideas that would never have been possible!”
Currently, players can access the mod by contributing to the project’s Patreon (find it here), but the modders plan to release the whole thing for free when it’s done, too. Definitely be sure to check it out if you’re interested.
