It feels like the dust has settled on what has been a wild couple of weeks for Grand Theft Auto fans. Let’s be honest, Grand Theft Auto VI’s existence was never really in doubt but a recent leak confirmed as much. Rockstar Games fell victim to a huge cyber attack, during which over an hour of GTA VI development footage was stolen along with screenshots and source code.
In the days following, fans tried to map out GTA VI’s version of Vice City, with some even complaining that the game’s map might be too big. Eventually, a UK-based teenager was arrested for the attack, pleading not-guilty in court. It’s unlikely we’ll get an official GTA VI reveal for quite some time so today I bring you something to tide you over: an incredible GTA V 16K mod.
Take a look at this incredible GTA V mod which allows you to play as The Boys’ Homelander.
As reported by DSOGaming, the 16K mod is the work of YouTuber Digital Dreams and trust me, it is a thing of beauty. The creator ran the mod on a single NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090. As DSOGaming notes, the video has the game running at 30fps. GTA V does not support NVIDIA DLSS or AMD FSR so this is native 16K.

Speaking about their motivation behind the experiment, Digital Dreams wrote, “This video is not about graphics. I just want to show how far we came to play slightly modded games in even 16K resolution.” Take a look at the results below.
In other Grand Theft Auto related news, one fan recently imagined what a sequel to San Andreas might look like. The project sees CJ return back to Grove Street 30 years later and I’m warning you: you may feel a little emotional by the end of the video. It’s an overload of nostalgia.
