A potential release date for the upcoming God of War Ragnarök has appeared online, and it's far closer than we ever could have hoped for.
The sequel to 2018's sublime God Of War was announced back in 2020 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 with a vague release window of 2021. But what with one thing and another, the game was eventually bumped back to 2022. An exact release date has yet to be confirmed.

While we wait for a official word, a recently discovered listing from a small video game retailer in Chile seems to suggest that God of War Ragnarök could be coming as early as June 2022.

This is most likely a placeholder, of course, but it's worth noting that Sony tends to release some of its biggest games around June. The Last Of Us Part II was a June 2020 release, while Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart arrived in June last year. Could we possibly be on for summer fun with Kratos and Atreus? It almost seems too close to be true, but stranger things have happened.
We'll have to wait and see. Rumours suggest that Sony is planning a big PlayStation event this month which should shed a little more light on the company's plans for the next year. If God of War Ragnarök has a release date set, I imagine this is where we'll find out about it. Stay tuned, and we'll update you just as soon as we learn more.
