Last year, Ubisoft officially announced The Division Heartland. The free-to-play title is in development at Red Storm and is unsurprisingly, due to be set within The Division universe. Back when the game was revealed, Ubisoft explained that “Heartland is a standalone game that doesn’t require previous experience with the series.” Since then, details have been thin on the ground but we finally have a better idea of what Heartland will look like.
Speaking of Ubisoft, take a look at this epic trailer for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.
As reported by VGC, a newly-launched product page on the Ubisoft Store appeared to reveal more about the upcoming title. The game was listed as being developed by Ubisoft Montreal, and was teased as coming “soon.” The official description read, “Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland is a free-to-play survival-action multiplayer shooter set in small-town Middle America. Play as one of six agents and select between three classes each match, all with their own perks and skills.”

The description went on to outline the game’s various modes, “Fight together in 45-player PvEvP Storm Operations against a group of dangerous Rogue agents, an aggressive faction known as the Vultures, all while surviving a lethal virus. [...] Complete PvE missions, gather gear, activate alerts, and prep the battlefield in Excursion Operations.”
The page was taken down shortly after it first appeared online, so we can presume it was accidentally published ahead of schedule. Ubisoft are holding their Ubisoft Forward showcase on 10 September so the official reveal could come very soon.
