Fortnite Chapter 6 is kicking off this weekend, and here's when

A new beginning

Fortnite Chapter 6 will soon be upon us, and it’s introducing a lot of new content, so here’s everything you need to know about it.

Over the past few weeks, Fortnite has been taking another stroll down memory line with Chapter 2 Remix, a slightly updated take on the OG Remix from last year.

See the OG Fortnite season below.

While it was a success, I think many would agree the Marvel collaboration that took place before was better, and now players are just looking forward to Chapter 6 which drops at the end of the week.

The new chapter will introduce several gameplay and sandbox additions like wall-running, katanas, demons and more inspired by Eastern culture.

It also marks the return of a criminally underrated Marvel superhero you’d probably forgotten about, and everyone’s favourite radioactive lizard Godzilla, who’ll be patrolling the map as one of the several boss encounters.

So when does the new chapter drop? Well, there’ll likely be some downtime very soon where the servers are taken offline to bring all the new content into the game.

We don’t know when that is exactly, but it should be ready by 1 December and we can made an educated guess because a grand-finale event has been scheduled to usher out the current chapter and bring in the new one.

After this players will be able to dive into the new map with a new battle pass and the chance to explore all the new stuff added to the game.

The Chapter 2 Remix finale will be a Juice WRLD concert that’ll begin on 30 November at 2pm ET. Downtime will begin after this, so assumedly, Chapter 6 will start a couple of hours later.

Of course, this is just the beginning as there will be several seasons on the way to bring more collaborations into the mix, one of which will reportedly be Cyberpunk 2077 and there’s even rumour of some SEGA IPs dropping into the island like Yakuza: Like A Dragon.

Don’t miss the new season this Sunday, as it’s going to be a bold new beginning for the battle-royale we all know and love.
