Fortnite players have been diving into the new season, which has been a blast so far with all-new gameplay mechanics and plenty of spicy collaborations on the way.
The new chapter has brought its fair share of problems though, and I’m not talking about how Godzilla was shown off in the marketing but won’t be joining the game until January, something I’m being totally normal about I swear.
Take a look at the new season of Fortnite below.
No, the main source of criticism is the battle pass and how you earn tiers on it, as players are adamant Epic Games has decreased opportunities to earn XP in order to make you grind out the game more.

Players earn XP by playing the game, of course, but there are also daily, weekly and season-long challenges to undertake for bonus injections of experience, but while each mode in Fortnite had its own daily challenges before, they’ve now been merged into one tab.
“Did Epic just nerf the daily XP of each mode by merging them into one global daily bonus?” read one post on the issue, and fans were quick to agree that’s what happened.
“Yeah unfortunately. They gotta make dailies give more XP to compensate,” said one fan and another added, “I did one daily and got credit for all three. Then that was it.”
“They heavily nerfed XP because of that Crew change playtime XP cap is now weekly for every mode and LEGO, OG’s, and Reload's playtime XP are all merged together. BR gives no playtime XP anymore and they removed milestones.”

If you didn’t buy the battle pass, this obviously won’t be an issue for you, but if you want to earn your way through the tiers as quickly as possible, this change won’t be a welcome one.
Apart from that though, the new season has gone down a treat, and fans are excited to see what else is to come for the new chapter of the game.
