It’s just one month to go until the release of FIFA 23 - EA’s final FIFA game before they rebrand to EA Sports FC. The title is set to include cross-platform play for the first time in the series (although, admittedly, with an unfortunate catch), as well as the return of loot boxes, with is significantly less exciting. However, as you’d expect, fans are still super hyped.
Take a look at the trailer for FIFA 23 below.
As reported by The Mirror, some players were in for a real treat today (30 August) when a glitch reportedly led to some people being able to download and play the full game. Apparently, Xbox Series X/S owners were able to grab the full Xbox One version by updating the FIFA 23 Closed Beta. Some EA Play members also reported being able to access the full game.

The Mirror writes that the download file, which players were previously using to access the game, is now unavailable, but those who managed to download it while it was still up still seem to be able to play - some have apparently even been streaming it online, which you can’t imagine EA will be too happy about. The whole situation has understandably sent fans into a frenzy, with the soundtrack and FIFA Ultimate Team player ratings leaking online.
Earlier this month, EA accidentally listed the Ultimate Edition of the title for just six cents on the Indian Epic Games Store, and amazingly, decided to honour the purchases of anyone who’d managed to buy it while it was listed. Understandably though, they very swiftly changed the listing price so no one else could.
