Fallout is one of the most popular RPG properties of all time since its inception in 1997 on the PC and it’s gone from strength to strength from that moment.
The first two games in the Fallout series were under the Interplay Productions publishing banner before Bethesda acquired the licence and released Fallout 3 in 2008, a fully realised open-world RPG that changed the trajectory of the series forever.
ICYMI: Here’s our chat with the cast of the Fallout show!
This year, we were treated to the live-action Fallout series on Amazon streaming platform, Prime Video, which exceeded a lot of expectations and placed itself alongside HBO’s The Last of Us as a video game property that can be adapted into a live-action series with a great level of success.

The most recent single-player game in the series is Fallout 4 which was released in 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One but also this year, it benefited from a free new-gen update making Bethesda’s version of the post-apocalyptic wasteland the best it ever looked.
That being said, as good as modern video games can be, sometimes we like to take things back to simpler times which brings us to the subject of today’s story, Fallout: Enclave.
Fallout: Enclave is a mod created by GunnerShi and is available to download and play for free right now via Moddb.com. It’s a conversion of Fallout 2 which is played in a skewed trimetric perspective and the mod brings an improved engine, visuals, missions, modes and more.
If you wanted a heavy dose of nostalgia, but with a twist, then it looks like Fallout: Enclave is the way to go. However, with this being a fan-made mod, it might be fair to expect the occasional bug and glitch, but hopefully, it won't be anything too off-putting.

The next official release in the series is Fallout 5, which at the time of writing has no release date nor confirmed platforms.
